Updated at April 06, 2020

Local Business-

MICA School Store - MICA's school store located at 1501 W Mt Royal Ave, Baltimore, MD 21217. The MICA Store offers a very limited amount of photographic supplies, so it's best to contact them if you have a question about an item you wish to purchase.  Phone: 410-225-2276

Service Photo – Maryland’s source for cameras, photographic equipment and professional imaging supplies. Service Photo is a good place to get started, they have most of the supplies that will be found on your Syllabus. They have a long standing relationship with MICA Photo and are happy to help with your questions. Service Photo is also a good resource to shop for used photographic equipment.

Artist and Craftsman Supply – Located just across the Howard Street Bridge,  Artist and Craftsman Supply is a utility art store which has a lot to offer, but like most general purpose art stores they do not stock photography supplies. They do have a good stock of book construction supplies.

Plaza Art Supply – Another art supply store conveniently located in the Mount Vernon area on Cathedral Street. Like Blick, it doesn’t really have a lot to offer in way of Photo Specific needs but there is more to the MICA curriculum than just what is taught in the Photo Department.

Blick Art Materials – A wonderful art supply store located close to campus. They don’t carry a whole lot in terms of Photo Supplies, but hey you have to take a drawing class or two, and probably could use some acid free tape right? So  if the MICA Store doesn’t have it, or you are looking for a little variety in your shopping experience give them a try.

Non Local-

B & H Photo – Large Selection, typically good prices, and fast delivery, a good addition to any photographer's list of resources. Located in New York City.

Adorama - Serving customers for more than 35 years, Adorama has grown from its flagship NYC store to include the leading online destination for photography, imaging and consumer electronics. Also a good resource to shop for used photographic equipment.

Bostick & Sullivan – If you are interested in doing alternative processes this is a great place to start! Remember MICA Photo has an approved list of Photographic Chemicals that may be used in our Darkrooms! If you are unsure if what you are hoping to try is allowed, please check with your teacher and the Photo Lab Manager before making a purchase! Some chemicals are highly toxic, and your health and safety is one of our primary goals!

Freestyle Photographic Supplies – Similar in style to B&H, worth checking out. They specialize in analog photography supplies (i.e. film, photo paper, photo chemistry, etc.) as well as digital photo supplies. They carry specialized items that might be more difficult to find on other photo websites. They are located on the West Coast, so please plan for a few days for delivery of your ordered items.

Photographer's Formulary – Like Bostick & Sullivan,  they specialize in photo grade chemistry for the amateur and professional photographer, if you are interested in doing alternative processes this is a great place to start! Remember MICA Photo has an approved list of Photographic Chemicals that may be used in our Darkrooms! If you are unsure if what you are hoping to try is allowed, please check with your teacher and the Photo Lab Manager before making a purchase!
