This position is responsible for press outreach, marketing assistance for Yoffy Press and its published artists, industry research, and partnership opportunities.
Research industry trends, artists for potential publication, and other in-depth projects, as needed
Assist with the guest logistics, background research, audio editing, and promoting of a future podcast series.
Identify partnership and collaboration opportunities.
Create and execute publicity plans for artists and their upcoming Yoffy Press titles, including but not limited to:
sending and following up on press releases to secure press for our artists in local and national publications (online and print)
creating social media campaigns to promote new releases
assisting artists to develop exhibition proposals (from a standard InDesign template) and to identify appropriate venues to approach
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Creative mind, comfortable with innovation and change, with a strong technical aptitude and a thirst for learning.
Ability to work independently under tight time constraints to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines.
Detail-oriented, self-starter, who shows initiative and brings new ideas to the table.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
Well-versed in the fine art photography and photobook ecosphere with an ear to the ground on up-and-coming talent and of-the-moment trends.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be willing to submit to a background check.
Must be able to submit proof of employment eligibility.
WORK REQUIREMENTS & COMPENSATION
5-10 hours per week
$500 per month (subject to increase with an increase in responsibilities and time commitment)
Flexible schedule and remote work
