Blackives wins People's Choice Award at UP/Start Venture Competition

The People’s Choice Award was chosen after an online voting contest from April 14-24. Blackives, by Deyane Moses (Photography BFA ’19 and Curatorial Practice MFA ’21) won this year’s award, bringing home $5,000. Blackives is a consulting firm dedicated to closing the racial inequality gap in the field of art and design. We aim to be a conduit between the Black community and the art world. We are dedicated to assisting Black artists in gaining access to resources that have historically been unavailable to them, while creating a gateway for institutions to expand their ecosystem. 

Blackives began as a project in Deyane's junior seminar class, expanded into her thesis, and still grows now.
