“A Second Life”

In his project, Donovan examines the alternative realities for people in recovery throughout the wake of the reduction of sober living homes. Giving witness to how Delray Beach, a promised utopia for those seeking recovery, turned into a dystopia where addicts and alcoholics would never leave or make it out alive. The photographs depict the contradictory physical and emotional landscape of Delray Beach and those in search of recovery there.
